GEI helps clients identify all federal, state, and local environmental regulatory requirements applicable to a project, and to assess the current compliance status of the project. Through our regulatory compliance and permitting experience, as well as our engineering experience planning, designing, and constructing a wide variety of projects throughout the United States, GEI is well positioned to help clients meet all applicable environmental regulations within a client?s project objectives, schedule, and budget.
Our ecological and environmental services are often integrated with GEI?s other core disciplines of geotechnical and water resource services in project settings such as?streams and shorelines, parks, dams, mining sites, hydroelectric power, reservoirs, industrial properties, water bodies, brownfield sites and more.
GEI guides our clients through the complex process of environmental compliance and implementing sound monitoring procedures while maintaining construction schedules and budgets. We work closely with construction contractors, resource agencies, and other project stakeholders to avoid and minimize project construction impacts to environmental resources and quickly resolve any challenges that arise during construction activities.
Following project construction, GEI botanists, wildlife and fisheries biologists, and restoration ecologists monitor and manage sites to help projects reach design goals. This may include site vegetation and wildlife monitoring or implementing various management techniques, such as integrated vegetation management plans, which may include moving, selective herbicide, burning, etc. applications for invasive species control.
