Natalie Dunn joins GEI’s Barrie, Ontario office as a Restoration Ecologist

Restoration expert brings in-depth ecological consulting experience to GEI

Barrie, Ontario (March 1) – We are thrilled to announce that Natalie Dunn has joined GEI’s Barrie office as a Restoration Ecologist with nearly a decade of expertise preparing restoration plans across Southern Ontario and British Columbia.

“Natalie’s experience as a restoration ecologist improves our ability to provide effective and efficient project management, especially for medium- to large-scale projects,” says GEI Senior Ecologist Heather Whitehouse. “Natalie will also provide mentorship for our restoration staff.”

Natalie is based in central Ontario, expanding our “on-site/at client office” service area. Her virtual office location enables us to competitively bid on public sector restoration projects and provide her ecological skills to our existing and future private sector clients in expanding markets.

Natalie’s project experience includes preparing restoration plans from conceptual to detailed design, invasive species management, adaptive management, and monitoring. She also has significant experience conducting site inventories, vegetation assessments, and site inspections pre- and post-construction.

“GEI’s company culture and its encouragement of professional growth were big draws for me,” says Natalie. “I’m excited to collaborate with colleagues, review agencies, and clients to design practical and functional restoration plans.”

Natalie also brings numerous years of project management experience, in-depth ecological knowledge, and a strong understanding of permitting processes and project timelines.
