Leading technical consulting firm launches new Canadian website
TORONTO, ON (July 21, 2021) – GEI Consultants is celebrating the firm’s rapid growth in Canada with the launch of a new website targeted to GEI’s Canadian marketplace.
“Three years ago, few in Canada knew of GEI Consultants,” says Peter Ventin, GEI’s Vice President for Canada. “Today, we’re a team of more than 70 experts with active projects spanning the country, and our growth continues. We’re building our practice and attracting innovative individuals who enjoy working with a team.”
GEI currently has three Canadian branches located in the GTA (Markham), Kitchener, and Barrie. The GEI Canada team offers technical consulting in ecological services, civil and municipal engineering, as well as geotechnical and geo structural engineering services. The firm continues expanding its service offerings.
“In the past year, our Canadian climate change group advanced work on a variety of significant projects,” says Peter. “The team is developing adaption methodologies to enhance the resilience of Great Lakes wetlands. Our coastal and marine groups continue their third year of services for the design of the marine and coastal protection elements of the Toronto Waterfront Port Lands Floor Protection project. These specialist groups, working on transformative projects, allow the GEI Canada team to continue to grow and attract the best Canadian talent,” says Peter.
Originally founded in Massachusetts in 1970, GEI’s growing practice today is comprised of more than 900 engineers, scientists, and planners across the firm’s 44 North American branches.
